After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Fuad Al Hajri managed to get in a good position for a shot. fly Emirates's supporters rose to their feet, but Fuad Al Hajri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Zander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fuad Al Hajri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Zander having to interfere. Luai Al Amer scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sten Zander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Theo McColl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, fly Emirates's goal looked a bit too open when Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal came free, but Theo McColl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moner Shrean's late challenge caught a Al Wasl Dubai FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moner Shrean helped the player get up and apologised. Aamir Dashti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luai Al Amer charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luai Al Amer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luai Al Amer kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. fly Emirates's Theo McColl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darweesh Al Sharah in the 38th minute of play. Theo McColl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Al Wasl Dubai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Moner Shrean came free, but Sten Zander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Al Arbash stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Al Wasl Dubai FC's Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Theo McColl was left in no man's land by his defense there! With 56 minutes on the clock, Waheed Al Holey commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 55th minute, one of Al Wasl Dubai FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Al Wasl Dubai FC. Al Wasl Dubai FC:s Sten Zander showed great skill when he stopped Fuad Al Hajri:s penalty. A collision led to Al Wasl Dubai FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Monther Al Srae hit a great ball. Sten Zander acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fuad Al Hajri. With a little luck, Al Wasl Dubai FC's Sten Zander got control of the ball when Aamir Dashti tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Al Wasl Dubai FC's zone, Aamir Dashti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sten Zander came out of the goal and Aamir Dashti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luai Al Amer got free with Sten Zander in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd match minute, fly Emirates was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moner Shrean to maneuver through the defense. Theo McColl came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Al Wasl Dubai FC's Darweesh Al Sharah. But to his dismay, Darweesh Al Sharah quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
