Piotr Tworek came out of the goal and Artūrs Sagalats tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, FC Iecēni's goal looked a bit too open when Jāzeps Pics came free, but Piotr Tworek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, SK Annenieki's goal looked a bit too open when Marek Hamšík came free, but Jānis Lielais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Iecēni eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
