In the 35th minute Jedrzej Kiszkiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Dauwen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Dauwen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jedrzej Kiszkiel in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Jedrzej Kiszkiel made a precise shot to the right of Leo Dauwen. Bacardi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Torsten Åkesson got a throw-in 43 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Pieter-Jan Anteunis. Robert Justus struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. In the 73rd minute Roni Coryn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roni Coryn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bacardi FC made a substitution. Thomas Deville replaced Karel Christiaens. Bacardi FC's Cornelis Rondas was substituted for Geert-Jan Tuytgans. With 80 minutes on the clock, Andres Calamaro commited a dangerous tackle. The FC Ouagadougou National supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Ouagadougou National would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
