After 14 played minutes Swatar United FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Filletti. 15 minutes into the match, Swatar United FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Said came free, but Patryk Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 23rd minute Mario Salerno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Etienne Blanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Filfla United booed when Swatar United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Pârcălab didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Salerno in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Etienne Blanco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Swatar United FC's Frank Löfdahl got a free kick in the 31st minute. Patryk Siekierski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Said in the 35th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Filfla United's goalkeeper Etienne Blanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neil Micallef. In the 41st minute of the match Thomas Sapienza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patryk Siekierski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Swatar United FC booed when Filfla United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egon Lång didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Dragoş Afloarei made the kick off in the second half. Patryk Siekierski was left in no man's land by his defense there! When John Said fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Filfla United's protests and gave John Said a yellow card for diving instead. John Said kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64thth minute of the game Mario Salerno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Filfla United's Etienne Blanco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Patryk Siekierski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dragoş Afloarei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filfla United's John Said got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Swatar United FC made a substitution. Kurt Francalanza replaced Neil Micallef. After some careless play in the Filfla United defense, Mario Salerno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Etienne Blanco. The Filfla United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Etienne Blanco should have stopped the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Swatar United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu came free, but Patryk Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
