Steve Oliver's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bladi Fuster read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Neil Gill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bladi Fuster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steve Oliver in the 19th minute of play. Bladi Fuster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Farmer in the 22nd minute of play. Bladi Fuster showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Farmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute of the match, Franz Midgley got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alexander Bird was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 29 minutes into the match, T H F C's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Farmer came free, but Bladi Fuster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bladi Fuster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Pagomari in the 41st minute of play. Donny Beckwith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bladi Fuster didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guido Pagomari went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mayo made a substitution. Evelio Goren replaced Samuel Farmer. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carl Deaconsfield stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Neil Gill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. T H F C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mayo the free kick. T H F C's Bladi Fuster proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save T H F C from getting a goal against them. Alexander Bird showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Deaconsfield in the 64th minute of the match. Des Gill might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bladi Fuster. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Des Gill ran back to his position shaking his head. Glyn Smith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bladi Fuster having to interfere. William Symons struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Bladi Fuster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mayo. T H F C made a substitution. Orson Billington replaced Matt Friend. Franz Midgley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Bird having to interfere. Bladi Fuster made an important save on a dangerous shot by Des Gill in the 77th minute. With a little luck, T H F C's Bladi Fuster got control of the ball when Steve Oliver tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute of the match, Des Gill tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bladi Fuster saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 91st minute Franz Midgley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Bird saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franz Midgley struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Alexander Bird didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for T H F C. 98 minutes into the match, T H F C's goalkeeper Bladi Fuster had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Robins. The T H F C supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mayo's performance. The match ended with a win for Mayo.
