Spectators: 7600 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Baltazar Bentos started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcu Ciupe got free with Salvador Menjivar in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Géza Kocsis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Holger Arhenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Holger Arhenius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Géza Kocsis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Salvador Menjivar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Ciupe in the 14th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, SantaAna's goalkeeper Salvador Menjivar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcu Ciupe. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Cerna in the 25th minute of play forced GALENA-NORTH's goalkeeper Géza Kocsis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SantaAna's Felipe Cerna got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salvador Menjivar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baltazar Bentos's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, SantaAna's goalkeeper Salvador Menjivar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcu Ciupe. Baltazar Bentos kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, GALENA-NORTH's Marcu Ciupe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 38 minutes into the match, SantaAna's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Rivera came free, but Salvador Menjivar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Géza Kocsis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Cerna in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Omar Ourente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Géza Kocsis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Holger Arhenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, SantaAna's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Bentos came free, but Salvador Menjivar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcu Ciupe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Salvador Menjivar made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Holger Arhenius made the kick off in the second half. Salvador Menjivar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcu Ciupe, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Géza Kocsis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Reyes in the 64th minute of play. Marcu Ciupe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salvador Menjivar having to make a save. Géza Kocsis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Cerna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute Felipe Cerna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Géza Kocsis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilber Navas hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. A collision led to GALENA-NORTH getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Sidney Salgado hit a great ball. Géza Kocsis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Benavides in the 74th minute. Salvador Menjivar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcu Ciupe, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Felipe Cerna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Géza Kocsis made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in SantaAna's zone, Marcu Ciupe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Menjivar came out of the goal and Marcu Ciupe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Géza Kocsis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Holger Arhenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. A collision led to GALENA-NORTH getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Orlando Cruz hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Felipe Cerna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Géza Kocsis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilber Navas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Salvador Menjivar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcu Ciupe in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Salvador Menjivar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over SantaAna could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GALENA-NORTH throughout the match.
