The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Club Deportivo Aguila's Januario Alfaro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rex Welsh, made in the 5th minute of the game. Club Deportivo Aguila's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Wang Di Hai scored to the left of an out of position Victorino Granados, making the score, 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Wang Di Hai dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Victorino Granados, 2-0. In the 13th minute, Barça Salvadoreño FC's Wang Di Hai ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Victorino Granados. Victorino Granados yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Odir Bautista succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Victorino Granados was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Jimeno Feliz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jimeno Feliz really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. 26 minutes into the game, Barça Salvadoreño FC's Jimeno Feliz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victorino Granados made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Victorino Granados came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Barça Salvadoreño FC's Wang Di Hai. But to his dismay, Wang Di Hai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 32nd minute, Barça Salvadoreño FC's Odir Bautista dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 8-0. Club Deportivo Aguila's Victorino Granados played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Feliz in the 36th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Januario Alfaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Barça Salvadoreño FC's Victorino Granados threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wang Di Hai, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Victorino Granados didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Odir Bautista went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 10-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salvador Anaya to make the kick off. Januario Alfaro hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Jimeno Feliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Granados having to interfere. Victorino Granados showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wang Di Hai in the 62nd minute of the match. Rudi Bremke took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victorino Granados. Victorino Granados dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rudi Bremke in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victorino Granados saved Club Deportivo Aguila from getting behind. Victorino Granados showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiro Piedra, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Barça Salvadoreño FC's Tiro Piedra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victorino Granados made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 14-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiro Piedra in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorino Granados prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, Wang Di Hai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barça Salvadoreño FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 15-0. Barça Salvadoreño FC's Wang Di Hai got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victorino Granados came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Barça Salvadoreño FC's Wang Di Hai. But to his dismay, Wang Di Hai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 16-0. In the 88th minute Wang Di Hai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Granados saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Urdaspal Monterros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 17-0. Victorino Granados was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiro Piedra in the 93rd minute of play forced Club Deportivo Aguila's goalkeeper Victorino Granados to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorino Granados showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wang Di Hai in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Rudi Bremke made a precise shot to the right of Victorino Granados. Club Deportivo Aguila's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 18-0.
